you know,
i finally got around changing the time in the blog template,
so now it accurately reflects the time of posting.
off to meet Aldwyn the Cuteface and Fendilyn, to eat fries.
krisso says toodles.
i love hearing xiaodi talk about the girl he likes.
its more of,
he remembers every single word she says to him.
he wants to do so many things to make her happy.
kael,
we have the bestest xiaodi in the world.
so handsome and thoughtful and cute!
and soon to be so botak.
HEH HEH HEH.
SKY HIGH SKY HIGH SKY HIGH!!
the guineapig is sooooooooooo cute
("look at that cute little legs" HAHAHAH)
and i still love the supervillian.
*sighs
i think im a slave to the mobile phone.
and just a random thought:
whe you want to be, you can.
no im not feeling very motivational or something,
it justs describes my finding for a job.
very sad headlines yesterday :(
especially touching when the hubby forgave the cabdriver.
sad that the cabdriver will still be punished.
hmm.
planting sunflowers.
'tis a short post,
just for edward!
heehee :D
dont so sian about your "service to the country"
since its inevitable might as well enjoy it.
and dont worry about the demented thing.
remember when you said put on helmet = armour +10%, IQ -10%?
(lionel nowadays also quite dense one. HAHAHHA ;x)
jiayou for your kitkat bars! :)
im sure that i will always be
a lonely number like root three
the three is all thats good and right,
why must my three keep out of sight
beneath the vicious square root sign,
i wish instead i were a nine
for nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic
i know i'll never see the sun, as 1.7321
such is my reality, a sad irrationality
when hark! what is this i see,
another square root of a three
as quietly co-waltzing by,
together now we multiply
to form a number we prefer,
rejoicing as an integer
we break free from our mortal bonds
with the wave of magic wands
our square root signs become unglued
your love for me has been renewed
lionel and i caught harold and kumar today!
although guantanamo bay is nothing to laugh at :(
and i think its the first movie ive watched where im consciously aware of the fact that its M18.
sexsexsexsexsex, nuditynuditynudity, fwordsfwordsfwords, weedweedweed
totally lame shizzzzz!
like the love poem above? hahahha!
(quite ingenius actually)
and john cho has such the cute face!
i love Foxtrot.
im going to buy all the Foxtrot anthologies.
i prefer white light over yellow.
yellow light makes me feel quite blind.
cannot see properly.
then again,
i prefer yellow light over no light.
yet another reason to wake up early to make use of natural light.
me and darling went out the other day.
we very impromptu-ly decided to go parkway.
kael: "you wanna take bus to pasir ris right?"
kris: "lets go parkway"
kael: "okay!"
and that's that.
im always amazed how she can navigate her way through roxy square.
and im also amazed by how roxy square manages to survive on.
its like a dead mall.
like katong mall.
like the one at kovan or something.
very weird.
we just drifted around as usual.
i mean,
i can recall once we went to take every escalator in parkway,
just because.
she brought me to eat laksa.
i can never figure out which is the original katong laksa,
although if i allow myself to think about how competition started,
i'll get very upset.
just imagine,
you open a laksa stall,
and you're doing fine and dandy,
then along comes this person,
opens up a stall directly beside you which proclaims, "original katong laksa"
worse is if you trained that person,
or if that person is your family relation.
okay i watch too many channel 8 dramas.
so yeah,
laksa without tougay and hum is not bad.
some people might say thats like eating chicken rice without chicken.
but i like it that way.
then off she went for her japanese class.
had one hell of an entertainment last night online.
its never sane to add kael, jess and me in the same conversation.
the thing that cracked me up was..
jess' friend, hazel, called in to some radio channel,
to win tickets to Ironman.
then the dj asked, "what superpower would you like to have?"
upon egging by florflor, who was also present,
hazel went, "fire farter."
in jess' words,
the dj like stunned tio.
then he went, "fire starter?"
hazel: "nono, farter, as in, f-a-r-t-e-r"
i suppose the dj recovered fast enough,
because he then asked, "why?"
"because bbq always cannot start fire."
as if that wasnt funny enough,
"... so just one fart, everything cooked."
and this on national radio.
how to not crack up?
so the Topic of the night was farts.
lionel will be so proud.
and kaelyn will never be able to keep a straight face at work again.
poor girl.
seize the moment.
i lovelovelove megalove cool nights.
sat at the back kitchen for a looonnnnggg while just now.
its a never ending breeze.
it makes me think of chalets and nights-up in the open.
im a diehard romantic.
im major swooning.
i found another quote in the book:
you can't eat toblerone without hurting yourself.
sooooooooo true.
the sharpsharp triangle point is like HOOOO-OW.
i love cocktail hotdogs with ketchup.
ah vann,
i found another quiz to do.

hurhurhur.

THIS IS FOR VANN!!
HAHAHHAHAHA
Student Gillian Linkins suffers one of the world's most bizarre phobias – a fear of buttons.
Gillian, 22, cant even stand to be in the same room as friends and family who wear them. She first realised her fear aged seven, when she refused to put on her school blouse.
The sight of buttons sends Gillian into panic attacks and boyfriend Nate Dorrington, 23, can only wear clothes with zips.
She said: "I've had the fear as long as I remember. My mum says I freaked out when it was time to get dressed. I have always been fearful of buttons, especially when they are grouped together."
But Gillian’s not alone. (this is where vann comes in! ;x)
Her phobia – officially named Koumpounophobia – affects one in 75,000 people. (vann, you're special.) A spokesman for The National Phobics Society said: "The phobia often affects children and the problem can persist into adulthood. We suggest cognitive behavioural therapy as a way to self-manage the phobia."
- taken from Nothing To Do With Arbroath
i stoned at this blank page for quite a long time.
dont know how/where to start.
KAELYN! koizora. says:
let me give you a jolt of inspiration
KAELYN! koizora. says:
SHE'LL BE COMIN' ROUND THE MOUNTAIN WHEN SHE COMES
KAELYN! koizora. says:
SHE'LL BE COMIN' ROUND THE MOUNTAIN WHEN SHE COMES
she continues for another verse,
but thats quite enough inspiration.
and on a side note,
i'm real happy for you darling :D
so i decided im just going to blog randomly.
and pictures always help.
cute bicycle hor.
i'd say it looks like a robot alien.
or something.
maybe its meant to be a reflector?
D;
anyway the Robot Alien was at downtown east.
i went there after work one day to book 222's chalet.
and i say "chalet" but i mean "hut"
HAHAHAHAH
the manager person wasnt very wonderful.
she very cheerily announced "SORRY ALL SOLD OUT!" -WIDE GRIN-
i felt like slapping her left right center.
in the end another nicenice girl named hidayah helped me with the bookings.
so yeah,
LOOKING FORWARD TO IT? :D
on the work side,
i said i'd rather be unemployed,
so now i am.
and on the last day of work,
i woke up late.
first time i woke up late okay!
but as they say, must try everything once.
heh.
this is my dearest deeeeeelaaaaah.
i miss her much :(
this is one of the GSTRefund counter guys.
his name is selvaraja,
so the first time i met him i asked, "do i call you selva, or raja?"
in the end i call him vara.
as in, sel-vara-ja.
HURHURHUR.
im very sad i didnt get to see the old malay guy,
he calls me his daughter :)
and he always tells me to "take it easy la girl. be like uncle like that. difficult customer, nevermind."
his eyes are a pretty colour.
then there's another guy called.. i forget.
but he's expecting a baby daughter soon,
so he's looking up on names.
and another younger guy called soon yong.
he said to call him bobby,
but i cant say the name without thinking of jiahao's dog.
he said because chinese name very hard to remember,
so he only use during lectures,
so the lecturer will forget.
but i spent two years in yishunj mixing up soonyong and soonlong,
so i dont think its a problem.
and also the two ladies.
one of them is called nadia,
she's like a big sister.
she will leave her radio on loudloud so i can hear also.
hahahaha.
and the other lady i only smile at her one.
on the second-last day of work,
nas brought me to the clubhouse to eat.
too bright its dark.
this is nas.
she loves chilli padi.
the clubhouse doesnt have hot-enough chilli padi.
the thing about working in these kind of sectors,
is that there's the whole customer service thing.
customers complain about bad staff,
staff complain about rude customers.
but theyre so many different people in the world,
of course each staff/customer is going to be different.
i had my fair share of rude customers.
but i also had the nice ones.
there was one day an old lady came and talked to me.
when i say old, i mean thats because she's 71 years old.
and to me, 71 years old = liang popo
she was anything but.
she was still young at heart, i could tell.
she spoke in english.
she was amiable.
i enjoyed talking to her.
she said she'll come back to talk to me,
because she drops by often.
but i dont think i'll see her again :(
its like,
a grandmother i never had, you know.
although i dont think my grandmothers spoke english.
my mum said maybe she's a teacher.
hmm, perhaps.
my mum also said maybe she's lonely.
her two daughters are in australia.
and she also talked about her "stupid son-in-law"
HAHAHAH.
and she asked me to call her "lao nainai"
i dont know whether its being respectful or disrespectful
._.
on the last day of work itself,
one customer remarked that i was very friendly,
and "friendly people can go very far."
and im thinking, "why you wait until my last day to tell me!"
haha, not his fault of course.
its also nice when customers use your name.
this guy came in and out of the shop and each time he called me by name,
like friend like that.
so,
end of working at times newslink,
and i think ive learnt enough.
for example,
ive memorized the ISBN numbers of the newspapers.
without reference,
straits times - 8887181200007
newpaper - 8887181400001
lian he zao bao - 8887181600005
you get my point.
during work i also discovered i want a pet styrofoam bit.
when the supplier pack books,
they always fill the carton with alot of styrofom bits so that the books dont get damaged.
with static, the styrofoam bits stick to your hand one.
soooooooo cute.
and irritating.
speaking of pets.
i can finally talk about tamagotchis.
couldnt mention it before because wanted to surprise jess.
anyway the tamagotchi thing started because of lionel.
his clique bought one for susanna's birthday,
and she got so high she bought one for each of them too.
lionel named his "assho"
i cant describe how weird it sounds when he says,
"you better take care of my assho ah!"
oooookay.
but "assho" kind of died three times already.
im sorry :(
jess, how's yours doing? :D
on friday aka Last Day of Work,
dilly-dallied down/up to to school,
to pass ms.luo the band video thingy.
i re-edited it,
and looking at the clips still make me laugh.
especially at jialiang.
hohoho.
then went to citilink to stone for two hours.
waiting for the bullied and nessatard.
pop arrived in uniform,
and he was like "dont stand so close! eh hurry up, NSF cannot go shopping!"
HAHAHA.
after he changed he dragged me all around marina square looking for atm.
zzzzzzzzz.
meanwhile nessatard arrived and sat at kfc waiting for us.
she had to order hers take-away otherwise we no need go singsong already.
our shirley temples.
darling introduced this to me and ive never drank anything else since.
this time one very cute, got tthe star-shaped stirrer.
and i dont know what music video that is,
but it doesnt look good D;
oh, and vann was littering the floor with chicken bits.
and everytime the staff walk by she had to hide her food.
in the end she changed places with pop so she was in the corner.
she also asked when we were going to laserquest.
i think now laserquest no kick for the army guys already.
boo :(
um,
crashed course on Prime Suspects that night with my sister.
its a game.
we were trying to break our own record.
so far ive been Agent Ruffles,
Agent Cranberry.
Agent Guavejoos. (its supposed to be guavajuice, but no space, so guavajoos, then my sister typed wrongly. -____- )
and now, Agent Honeystar!
everything to do with food,
if you realized.
and speaking on honeystars.
it remains my no.1 favourtie cereal.
next to frosties.
but thats not the point.
the point is,
i was eating toblerone,
and i realized my favourite part of toblerone is the honey.
i didnt know it was honey,
but it tasted like honeystars.
so being the genius that i am,
i concluded it was honey.
what a meaningless paragraph.
anyway we completed the game in about 4hours.
my first attempt took 7hours.
and yesterday i finished in 3hours 12 minutes!
talk about wasting time! :D
and in a matter of days,
my dad came home and left again.
on wednesday after work my parents picked me up,
and we went parkway.
i love my parents very much.
my mother always says she regrets the way she brought us up,
but i think i would want to give my kids the same upbringing.
i mean,
i dont think we were deprived ;x
my mum said she didnt push us hard enough in the education field,
but i think we have sense enough not to fail,
or at least to aim somewhere.
and oh,
my mum bombarded us with alot of stuff when we were around 5-6.
she threw us in the pool. (i mean, learn to swim)
she made us pick a music intrument.
(at that time we only knew of the piano, so piano it was. my sister picked violin.)
and at least we know the basic wrong and right.
no stealing.
no sex.
HURHURHUR.
so ya.
and finally met up with lionel yesterday.
his hair grew longer.
now it looks like carpet grass
(but black, not green).
bought a spiky ball for miko!
he loves spiky balls.
he likes to lick beetles.
he doesnt like the food net.
we bought sunflower seeds too!
not to eat, to plant!
SO EXCITING!
:DDD
library-ed awhile,
i love reading funny quotes.
"i'm very optimistic. the glass is totally full - half with water, half with air."
HAHAHAH.
and yeah,
i suppose this concludes for now.
i know there are two people out there who are highly anticipating this particular post.
after all, i went out with them today.
and after all, i have The Pictures.
:D
was on the morning shift today,
looking forward to seeing pig and jess for lunch,
and maybe lionel for dinner.
major snag of the day:
didnt get to see lionel.
THAT'S THREE WEEKS!
T-T
other than that,
the day was too spastic.
it always is, with them.
first time i took the bus from the airport to tampines.
i missed two buses which zoomed past me,
because i was looking at my phone.
i'm like, HUH?
got to tampines,
and the moment i saw jess i got damn high.
and i mean damn high.
i couldnt breathe for laughing.
i dont know why either.
met up with kael,
and went to kfc.
the kfc smell does something weird to our brains.
we were falling about for a good fifteen minutes before gaining enough composure to join the queue.
not to mention we hopped tables like three times.
and martin didnt help by appearing at a time i was tooo high.
i kind of pummelled him in the stomach
as a way of saying hi.
because he didnt notice me.
i couldnt reach his shoulder see ;x
ah, the good old times.
come to think of it,
i love how we spent many a saturday after band,
going crazy at siglap mac/kfc.
the three of us, usually.
things havent changed :)
they were attempting to tell me the plot of koizora,
but i dont think they did it justice.
i mean, ".. the first time he sent her home.. they had sex."
and, ".. then they had sex in the library."
i thought it was a loveydovey story.
so much sex is like... lust. or passion. whichever.
no intention of watching it ;x
after that we went to the tea leaf.
and that's when it really started.
this is the part the two are looking forward to.
for some reason jess decided to tell us about her friend and herself,
taking pictures of their eyes and ..
doing weird things.
we'll let the pictures do the talking please.
WARNING: NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH.
i almost threw up from laughing so hard.
this is kaelyn.
she kindly agreed to be our actress in our "sequence" shot.
by doing this she is throwing away all her image.
applaud her courage.
(bytheway, i asked her to smile normally but she so mianqiang :( )
1.
"oh dear, i have really small eyes!"
jess gave us these little (coin?) pouches.
suuuper cute.
mine was a frog.
instant tiwawa-memories.
2.
"hmmmmmmmm. i wonder..."
3.
".. i wonder if i could make my eyes..."
*points pointedly at eye
4.
"....make my eyes.. BIGGER."
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
5.
"TADAH!"
instant plastic surgery!
-inserts vulgarities here-
I'M ALMOST DIED AT THIS POINT.
everytime i see this picture or even think about it,
i get the worst case of giggles ever.
ITS HER POSE!!
and you know what they say about peer pressure.
i'm in desperate need of bigger eyes too.
mine special, got picasso influence.
y'know.
the eye vertical one, like cat.
normal jess.
quasimodo jess.
no offence,
but i think quasimodo looks like ms.singapore next to the three of us.
and if you thought things couldnt get any worse,
i warped all our faces on my handphone.SP_A1076.jpg)
SP_A1072+i.jpg)
SP_A1073.jpg)
if you noticed,
the eyes are looking at different directions.
which was the point actually.
i swear,
none of us could hold the phones steady to take pictures.
and the table next to us was probably very irritated.
our stomachs were feeling quite queasy after that.
i think the laughing interfered with the digestion or something.
and to use a very cliched phrase,
i finally understand what it means to "laugh until you get abs."
damnit.
too.
much.
laughing.
can't.
breathe.
we scouted around for our rings.
the old ones that we have...
we kind of forget to wear them ;x
saw some pretty ones but they didnt have six.
one of the greatest times ever.
i dont think i described it as crazy as we felt doing it,
but you can tell.
oh,
and my mummy is so sweet!
she bought all the food i like!
like small/green grapes.
guava juice!
dried mango!
i lovelovelovelovelove!
:D
p.s.
just a little note,
the pictures kind of remind me of Chantel Sebire,
a French teacher who had a cancerous tumor in her nose and sinuses,
causing major (and i mean major) disfigurement to her face.
she begged for euthanasia, was denied, and later commited suicide.
i just want to point out that we have absolutely no intention of making fun of her.
her story is very saddening.
i was very affected by it when it first made the news.
i am so for euthanasia.
hmmm.
feeling very thoughtful now....
the internet is a public domain.
people can judge you online,
whether you know them or not.
which may be a good thing or bad.
but it doesnt really matter to me.
i know i dont divulge personal details,
like my handphone number or address or i/c number or credit card number
(because i have no credit card.)
i dont really know what's the link,
but it got me thinking of what we blog.
some people blog the randomest things.
some people blog daily happenings.
some people blog feelings.
all i know is when i blog,
i dont need to be interesting
i blog because i assume friends want to know what's happening on in my life.
so i have that "nothing to hide" stance
(except for personal details. which they already know anyway)
i like to catch up on their lives that way too.
which is why sometimes i wished they blogged more.
pple like vann.
dont know what happening to her ;x
and pop, who's last post was "merry christmas!"
but he calls me everyday (because he's bored) and he's in army,
so how interesting can things get right ;xx
and i dont need people to tag.
its nice when they do,
but the main point is that they read, and sometimes, feel.
long posts very hard to tag anyways.
always jump topic.
okay what i've just said is rather messy,
and devoid of coherent flow.
but nevermind D;
anyway thought about this because i talked to martin yesterday.
just a little comment on how his friend said i look different (i.e. rounder)
i'm not offended or anything, nor am i taking it to heart.
its just that women dont let any remark about their weight go like that.
(at least, insecure women like me dont. ;x)
so number one: his friend said it.
may or may not know him/her, but they observed it online.
and when i come across an unglam picture of myself online,
i might be like, "urgh!"
then i realize, but thats how other people see me.
so let it be.
(see, mei. dont blame me for your unglam pics. ;x)
so that kind of explains the above.
number two: martin said i was very skinny in j1.
then after getting together with lionel....
i become too xinfu.
call me Tubby.
ya lor,
lionel and i live to eat.
then now he go army jianfei leave me outside here to pig out.
HAHA.
okay joking hor.
but i realized its not i put on more weight became more gravitionally-enhanced after j1.
its i became unusally skinny during that period of time.
so you can say my weight/looks now is normal.see, this is my secondary two class picture.
i hereby ask the people who think they're unglam in this photo to forgive me.
i shall not reveal your names.
nobody will scrutinize this picture looking to see if they know you, or how you looked like last time.
unless you dont mind.
you know who you are.
HAHAHAHA.
i wonder how i managed to live two years of upper-secondary.
it was probably the lowest period of my life?.
they say anorexic people are so because they are attention seeking.
which is true,
and you could say im not ashamed to admit i wanted attention.
(i'm not talking about fullblown paparazzi attention here.)
which makes me sound very spoilt.
because i have a great family.
and i wasnt having any financial difficulties either.
my parents realized they were being too financially liberal around that time too.
so i didnt eat.
for breakfast. for recess. for lunch. only dinner.
and my dinner portions were..
singapore-shaped. HAHA. even got sentosa one.
less than half the plate or something.
(it still is now.)
i only ate when they asked me if i wanted to eat.
if they asked how come im not eating.
i remember times i couldnt finish a packet of drink.
i remember stepping into kfc, thinking, "it must have been about six months since i last came here"
maybe i was dieting?
i think i was depressed.
not really suicidal, no.
just depressed.
crying alot, i guess.
over stupid things too.
and i think my friends were uncertain of my actions then.
i dont blame them.
it was kind of erratic.
actually i dont know what yokechong saw in me then D;
i left secondary school feeling like i accomplished nothing much.
i didnt feel that i belonged to my class.
only to a handful.
like shengyuan, gaoyuan, shuyu, kelvin.
i was chasing after the girls too much.
not that they were neglecting me, no.
so i didnt make an effort to make new friends in my upper-sec class?
the class had cliques.
not snobbish cliques, just cliques. already friends.
which was why i was thankful for shuyu and the rest.
but even if i felt like an outsider,
i could still see that 4i was kind of united.
we had people with vibrant personalities.
i loved loved loved loved loved the teacher's day performance.
and im kind of proud that we had alot of people holding leadership positions.
then i entered yishunj and WHAM!
didnt know anyone so i got kind of survival-mode.
must. make. friends.
must. be. outgoing!
and i could see the difference
it was a 180degrees turn.
it's a nice feeling to be able to pass people in school and wave/smile.
it's a nice feeling to talk to people.
it's a nice feeling to get to know other people through friends.
it's a nice feeling to acknowledge someone you see outside school by surprise,
even if in school you never said a word.
and the friends stayed.
from the first day of school i knew amy, nicole, amal, sree, joseph, edward.
from them i got to know martin, guangzu, terence, eka.
and P22 probably thought i was a firecracker.
P22.
became 122.
became 222.
the class i love the mostest in my life.
because of them my junior college life was awesome.
122.
esdc says:
WAH LAO
esdc says:
i damn handosme lo
anyway back to the point i was making.
jc1 was my Skinny Year.
because of my upper-sec life.
and probably because i joined ODAC.
so i got to being more active.
then i quit and joined band.
working only the mind and fingers really.
i'm not an exercise-type of person.
in case you weren't able to spot me.
fun right, comparing like that.
HAHAHA.
at my heaviest i was 54kg.
yes, at my height too.
at my lowest i was under 40kg.
in the space of.. one year probably?
crash dieting.
i want to see other people's before-and-after too!
like martin's ;x
realized that my height remain the same.
see, the legs same length.
nevermind,
short people have more fun!
:D
no, i'm not in self-denial mode.
kinda makes me want to like,
take a picture of my face every day for as long as i can.
like this guy. (link)
he took a picture of himself everyday for 8years.
watch it.
his hair is aliveeee!
so ya.
back to being Tubby.
and time heals all wounds i guess.
not that it's a wound actually.
because the girls are still around,
still getting along.
still finding time for each other.
and that's what matters.
SO ANYWAY.
talked to martin yesterday.
called him up on impulse,
then he unleashed all his verbal vomit on me.
and i mean vomit,
because everything he was telling me made him sick.
we talked things like the LGBT community.
he wonders why men like men who are transexual, so cant the men just like women?
or why people go for half a sex change (like the pregnant man)
for me, i wondered how straight guys feel if a transexual likes them.
ohwell.
no discrimination/offence meant.
(he) talked about alot of things making him vomit.
which i cant put up of course.
Martin the Friendless.
HAHA.
work went fine.
i'm always damn bored in the morning.
almost fell asleep standing up.
but i could still overtime with bashirah in the afternoon.
i guess i properly wake up only then.
i realized ive never taken pictures with my colleagues or of the shop.
anyway this is bashirah.
LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE OF THE SIZE OF OUR EYES.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
and in the morning.
5AM you know.
and some dumb duck (i mean duck) wanted to buy a tube of mentos.
nothing wrong, of course,
but he wanted to pay with a thousand-dollar note?!
i'm like, wtf's your problem?!?!??!
and you're buying a $1.30 tube of mentos.
ZZZZZZZZZZZ.
so this is the cashier counter.
veryvery small.
newspaper also cannot put
anyway the focus is on the plastic bag.
"if you're bored, its not our fault"
oh yes it is :(
my kiosk!
i also hop over to the GST refund counter to talk :D
went out with amal again on thursday.
for reasons i shall not disclose because it falls under the
not-concrete-cannot-say-otherwise-if-never-happen-people-laugh-at-me
classification.
;x
anyways we went to haji lane?
i always associate these places to very artsy people!
woohoo!
im one of those people now!
HAHAHA.
ya right.
"being in power is like being a lday. you dont have to say it, but people know."
not like when you say it means you're it.
;x blast from the past.
i thought i took a nice picture until i realized the grafitti on the wall very.. outstanding.
so laidback.
imagine sitting on the (very low) chair watching the world go past.
which was what alot of shopkeepers were doing.
not much business on weekdays huh.
but it was kind of a different lifestyle
caught glimpses of elderly people sitting in shops with alot of wooden stuff inside.
like very oldschool y'know? we went to slack inside some cafe!
cute cafe.
they let people smoke sheesha.
which is what this guy is smoking.
which reminds me of the caterpillar in alice in wonderland. no tables and chairs.
carpets upon carpets.
fluffy carpets.
non-fluffy carpets.
makes for kind of low eating.
and i could leap over the table.
HAHA. felt like i was over at my friend's house or something.
the tv was playing daddy's girls.
which is kind of an old show?
vernetta lopez, carrie chong, jamie yeo.
all the djs huh. had to leave our shoes outside!
dates with milk.
DATES.
i cannot get over the idea of drinking dates D;
there was another dates wtih honey thing.
i dont like dates.
i mean the fruit. you should have seen the difference in complexion when he used his phone.
can be a "united colours of benetton" ad.
(hmmmmmm. my face is rounder. HAHA)all the sheesha.
i didnt really like the idea.
like, promoting smoking? pretty lights!
oh, the man left.
apparently "mogi" is the fused word of mogolian and.. i forgot.
something to do with singapore.
and amal was wondering how come the menu had the inverted commas.
"menu"
its not just a menu,
its a "menu".
hahahhahaha. opposite us.
i love my toes! anyway it started majorly raining.
so we stoned for awhile.
can fall asleep one.
but we left at 6.
bought a pouch in one of the shops!
frankly, i think its quite intimidating to step into empty shops.
which was why we didnt shop much.
this was from the date with kael.
she's pretending to be an angel.
"i have such a big halo!"
pointed out the pet shop to her.
where sana took the cutest picture of a bunny eating.
i like to see hammies clump together.
meeting up with her and jess tomorrow.
to pass jess her present.
finally.
because i want to blog about it but jess cannot know.
HEEHEEHEE.
(i hope im making jess paranoid.)
anyway, didnt get to see lionel today :(
he sprained his ankle very badly,
at the hospital with his mum now.
havent seen him for two weeks already you know! :(
forget how he look like already.
(ya right. AHHAHA)
okay let me mush abit.
hahahhaa.
anyway, this was a surprise visitor one night.
my maid said it was pregnant.
not that i can tell.
and it was so calm.
and my dog didnt try to eat it.
D;
realized when i'm in my room,
i can tell who's just arrived home by the sounds.
mum = car reversing.
bro = tv switched on
sis = computer switched on.
AHAHHA.
and so start six days of straight working for a weekend off.
on the phone one night...
me: "eh, sing me chinese song." *thinks happily about all the jayzhou lomantic songs*
lionel: "uh... zu ni sheng ri kuai le, zu ni sheng ri kuai le~ (birthday song in chinese)"
ccoooooooooeeeee~
hopping back here 'cos i didnt mention some things in the previous post
(not that it's important - its just i want to say it ;x)
things like how amal is super to shop with!
(like, super fun and super nice, just super. haha)
considering how every other guy is in army,
nowadays he only goes out with girls.
so he more tolerant i suppose.
can look at things like perfume.
all the tester spray on him.
pissed off the lady 'cos we said the perfume she hardselling us smells like handsoap.
amal say, "yes.. a very citrus... citrus-y handsoap."
can ask opinions on clothes.
and can spend half an hour laughing at waterbottles.
speaking of laughing,
he said a few things which totally cracked me up,
until i at night talk to lionel also break out giggling.
one was when we were at marina square eating lunch,
then i said the drink cup look like grenade.
so he told me about some guy,
in army, throwing grenade that time,
he went, "PIKACHU! I CHOOSE YOU!"
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
aiya, my font cannot bigger.
(lately ive been saying this because i'm really laughing very hard)
pokemon!
and whats worse,
the guy kena-ed detention barrack,
which is kind of a record (if more than one week, but still.)
dontknow to laugh harder or to shut up.
imagine pple ask him why he inside.
"oh.. 'cos of pokemon."
lionel say throw grenade very stressful one.
actually am i allowed to post these kind of things online?
ohwell.
small blog, small matter.
amal was also talking about some skits his juniors performed.
on guys' pick-up lines and girls' rejections.
guy: "hi, i'm bond. james bond."
girl: "*.. lost. get lost."
but the funniest to me was the one where the guy went,
"hi, im an mrt and i'm here to... pick you up!"
OH.MY.FLYING SQUIRREL.
DAMMMMN FUNNY LOR.
sometimes i think jokes should stop there,
but apparently there's the rejection line, which is,
"when's the next train?"
which i dont think adds more funny-ness to the line.
i'm here to pick you up!
seriously.
other randomities,
i found out just how stoned i can really get.
after an afternoon nap,
(without sleeping the night before),
i realized i received a message from the bullied,
so i replied.
then i realized i already replied him,
apparently when i was sleeping.
SOOOOOOO FREEEEAAAAAKKKKKYYYYY.
i seriously had no idea i replied!
i mean, sometimes you have that woozy feeling that you're spewing rubbish,
but this was different!
for one, i really have no recollection of even reading the message, much less replying.
secondly, my reply didnt sound like rubbish.
i better keep my phone farfar when i sleeping
otherwise i do weird things when i'm "sleeping".
tomorrow i'm working the mid-afternoon shift.
which is the "normal" one, 10.30-19.30.
its the first time in about two months already.
my mum believes they're exploiting me,
as a part-timer,
because when i work the weird shifts
they dont need to pay me double.
she say want to call them up one,
i didnt know she so concerned, haha.
you know, its like how they say,
make others happy and you are happier too.
reading siewhwa's blog made me feel that way.
of course, receiving replies from the rest also did.
just for fun,
this was what i posted to sarala:
"NOTHING! HAHA!"
no, seriously.
you'd think i would have made better use of my 55cents stamps.
(the airport 7-11 ripped me off.
55cents stamps :( )
but still.
nothing beats small, sweet surprises.
okay i better stop kua-ing (praising) myself.
if anything,
horoscopes are still a tad relevant nowadays.
in a good way.
and i was too distracted by stickgal yesterday.
i think kennysia gave her major exposure by mentioning her.
but she's really soooooooo cute!
kael would love her to bits.
its stickgal.blogspot.com
go see, go see.
suuuuuper cute.
i like potato chips.
plain ones.
salty ones.
classic ones.
woooooo.
there's this weird tag on my board,
about tuition.
kinda reminds me of when vann and i wanted to go tutor primary school kids.
we were like,
woah, easy job, 2+2=4 that kind.
then we realized that their parents probably know that too.
so we gave up.
the bullied and i were casually talking about bbqs,
and going overseas together in december with the rest,
then we thought about chalet in may/june?
woohoo.
imagine "living" in sentosa!
(yeah, sentosa chalet please.
want to chalet might as well spend money make nicenice)
then a thought occured to me.
we're paying for this chalet by ourselves.
our money.
all of us drawing salaries now.
sooooooooo mature.
HAHA.
and kitkat's nick is,
with great looks come great responsibilities.
that guy is damn funny.
oh, realized the importance of my sister this evening
(such a heartwarming statement)
my mum, bro and i were eating dinner,
my bro was watching the football channel.
then he went to his room to get ready for work (night shift),
leaving my mum and i to stare at the football channel.
just stoning.
for about ten minutes.
then my sister came home,
and it was more interesting watching her watch the football channel.
like she talking to herself,
very funny.
HAHAHA.
okay la, one reason of importance la,
dont go and emo k.
i love chicken wings.
i love stickgal!
soooooooo cute!
LIONEL. motherfudgingholycake. says:
i reading my archived posts on my blog.. then last time i dont want go yj
LIONEL. motherfudgingholycake. says:
hahahaha
shehittheflo says:
if u dont come yj
shehittheflo says:
how u get to know handsome guys like me
typical jiahao answer.
anyway, i was like quite touched when he suddenly messaged me to take care.
(:
so yes,
was reading back on the archived posts,
on how i didnt want to attend yishunj on the first day.
but im so glad i did.
the past two years were like the greatest time ever.
school-wise, i mean. haha.
i dont know what would have happened if i didnt attend.
i wouldnt give anything for all the times and memories in yishunj,
the places it brought me,
the people i met.
so, being nostalgic,
went out impromptu-ly with amal today!
HAHAHAH so no link.
amazing how friends from first three months still stick around.
:)
met up at raffles place.
and its really soooo office-y!
you can tell which are the people not working there,
because they're dressed differently.
haha.
and good thing amal was around today,
'cos i got totally lost.
every two steps was "where are we?"
typical me,
just ask lionel.
went to city hall area,
i get very want-to-go-sightseeing everytime i'm there.
visited the singapore flyer.
apparently the base is in a building or something.
in the middle of the rainforest garden sponsored by yakult.
haha.
and the flyer never stops moving, it seems.
it just moves veeeerrrryyyyyyy slowly,
like my brain does sometimes.
amal very misleading.
he was like, "the singapore flyer got popeye's"
then i went, "inside the cabin?!"
he added, "they also got the fish spa thingy."
"INSIDE THE CABIN?!?!"
doesnt it sound very misleading?
D:
anyway,
it was the biggest popeye's outlet i've ever been to.
i only went to the airport ones anyway.
and then the rest of the building like quite empty ah.
we went esplanade too.
along the way got those art gallery.
got one asked for public participation.
apparently you write a haiku and slip in under the door and they'll form it into an art piece.
you know what haikus are right.
"poems" with seventeen "syllabus".
then 'cos the "exhibition" is glass one,
can see alot of rubbish that people wrote.
what the sun very bright la, my shadow disappeared la.
haha.
and this is what we wrote:
"This was written by a
Very Bored Person with nothing much
To do."
notice how the lines are spaced.
so poetic.
HAHAHAHAHA.
but amal slipped it through the door and it fell face down,
so nobody can appreciate our artistic creation.
:(
walked around and around marina square and stuff.
then we went to tampines.
singapore women's weekly got discount card to use at century square!
not that i read women's weekly,
but it is a magazine,
and i do sell magazines..
=)
no la, i picked the card off the floor one.
no, really.
(btkiosk doesnt even sell singapore women's weekly)
anyway,
most have received my snailmail.
i love sending snailmail.
very surprising one.
heh.
loves :D
and oh ya,
realized i dont like mentioning things when its not concrete.
like... i dontknow.
wait the plans never fall through then pple laugh at me.
hahahaha.
ohwell.
:)
i like it when the weather's like that.
very grey and very dark,
promising a huge thunderstorm, but not raining yet.
oh, and windy too.
wooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
walking to work,
each step i took drilled the same words into my mind.
ranting, ranting, ranting.
by the time i reached the airport,
i was tired of being negative.
tired of being tired.
so maybe i should have been honoured instead.
i mean, why me?
they thought i was game enough to be able to take it with a laugh.
so i should have.
instead i was kind of immature and ruined the whole joke.
yes, joke.
they say the prank may have backfired,
but i'd say it worked too well.
then just when i could breathe again,
i saw a customer reading the newspaper at my newspaper stand.
so i went up to him and said,
"excuse me sir, no browsing please."
and he fucking went crazy on me.
all facts, no opinions in the following.
he went,
"you think i dont have enough money to buy this paper is it?
i have enough money to buy the whole shop okay!
what's your name? what's this shop?
where's your manager, call your manager now!
airport is supposed to have better customer service one okay,
even though its budget terminal but still must have customer service.
you want me to send you for customer service class?
i think i better send you to go back and study..."
and then he held out the newspaper to me,
"fine i'll take this!"
and i went, "is there anything else sir?"
he said, "oh, i wanted to buy other things one, but you were so rude to me."
and then..
he apologized.
he apologized once, twice, thrice.
he went to draw money, he paid by visa,
he bought more than the newspaper,
and he apologized on leaving.
i couldnt even talk properly to other customers.
i wanted to break down there and cry on the spot,
i was craving physical contact from somebody, anybody.
i wonder why i wasn't speechless dealing with him.
i think my brain was too lag, too surprised at his response.
they say customer service industry is like that,
i wouldnt have mind as much if this happened any other day
but of all days when i wasnt feeling well..
if anything,
the day got better.
darling gave me a virtual hug with alot of sugar,
and we're going out tomorrow impromptu-ly.
i got to hear lionel's voice when he booked out for awhile to play at jurong point.
i vaguely remember my brother doing that when he was in there too.
one of the police officers bought me food and a drink,
when i said i didnt have dinner.
the GST refund counter encik provided the listening ear.
they came down to apologize to me personally,
but i didnt meet them.
for one, i was working,
for two, they would reach home late,
for three, i didnt want to cry again.
they left a letter in my letterbox
(damn do they like my letterbox alot).
someday i'm going to take out what they did to show the others,
and we're all going to have a good laugh.
i take back what i said about missing 222.
i take back wanting an annual gathering every year.
i take back what i said when i was worried you all fell out.
i take back worrying for you all when i thought you were quarelling.
i take everything back.
this is the worst April Fool's day i ever had.
no, its the worst day i've ever had since i could remember.
I HAVE JUST RECEIVED A PACKAGE IN THE MAIL.
THE ENVELOPE CONTAINS:
- A "BLOODY" PLASTIC KNIFE
- A HALFBURNT CANDLE
- A PIECE OF STRING COVERED IN RED CRAYON WITH BURNT FRAYED ENDS.
- A PORTRAIT OF (i assume) MY FAMILY DRAWN IN STICK FIGURES IN RED CRAYON
WITH THE WORDS "DIE" (in chinese) OVER SOME OF THEM, THERE'S A DOG TOO (miko?) AND A CAT BUT I DONT HAVE A CAT.
- A PLASTER STUCK ON ITS WRAPPER
- A HAND-DRAWN HELL NOTE.
- A ROLLED UP MESSAGE SAYING "HAPPY BLOODY APRIL FOOL" ON ONE SIDE AND "FAECES" ON THE OTHER.
- A CD WITH A TRACK TITLED "I'M WATCHING YOU" AND WHICH SOUNDS LIKE HELL WITH A WOMAN LAUGHING AND KNOCKING SOUNDS AND THE LIKE.
- "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER" SCRAWLED ALL OVER., WITH LOTS OF RED CRYAON SCRIBBLES MADE TO LOOK LIKE BLOOD AND BURNT BITS.
A CUTE APRIL FOOL'S JOKE?
(my sister said it was lame)
not to me.
TO WHOEVER THE FUCKER IS,
I AM SEVERING ALL TIES WITH YOU ONCE I KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
YOU MAY BE FROM HELL BUT I DONT GIVE A DAMN.
I'M JUST LETTING YOU KNOW THAT I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS,
AND I HOPE YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER FRIEND TO REPLACE ME
BECAUSE I AM FUCKING NOT GOING TO TALK/LISTEN TO YOU AND ENTERTAIN YOUR FUCKING SICK MIND.
IT MAY BE HATE MAIL WHICH I DONT MIND,
BUT THIS DOES NOT SEEM LIKE HATE MAIL.
I MAY BE ABLE TO TAKE JOKES, BUT THIS IS TOTALLY SOMETHING ELSE.
THIS IS DISTURBING.
IF YOU THOUGHT YOU SPENT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT MAKING THESE THINGS,
YOU THOUGHT RIGHT AND IT IS A BLOODY WASTE OF YOUR OWN TIME AND EFFORT.
I ONLY CARE HOW YOU GOT MY ADDRESS.
I MAY BE OVER-REACTING BUT I AM BRINGING THIS TO THE POLICE IF I HAVENT FOUND OUT WHO YOU ARE IN THREE DAYS.
FUCK YOU.
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S!
i swear, i was so tricked by kennysia.
he announced that he was quitting the blogging industry forever.
sounded so serious and all,
then ended with, "wait.. what's today's date again?"
kenny is funny.
drank f&n cherry before sleeping two nights ago,
and got so sugar high i didnt do much sleeping at all.
tossed and turned and the next thing i knew,
it was time to get up.
and work passed surprisingly well even with the lack of sleep,
probably because the newspaper guy came very early,
so no bloody people asking me for the bloody newspaper.
there was only one snag.
a lady came in and demanded a refund for something she bought.
she bought a magazine for the game inside (for her son),
it was an xbox 360 game,
then she only had an xbox,
so she wanted a refund.
they say the customer is always right.
stupid, but always right.
you can't refund your mistakes like that.
life doesn't work that way ;/
lunched with kael after work,
went to 168 where we saw alot of singing temasekians with no shame.
we weren't ever like that before, were we?
im pretty sure we had much more sense.
then we went to the playground and pretended it was a beach.
she was making sound effects and all.
love how we can talktalktalktalktalk nuts to each other.
dreamt another weird dream yesterday.
dreamt that 222 had to participate in battle royale.
oh the fear! :(
but in the end we killed the organisers,
so we escaped - yeah.
i still remember the scenery though.
there were two tyre swings.
and it looked more like a backyard than an island.
gosh i miss 222.
felt very sad that can't slack around in school anymore,
in the canteen, in the library.
buying snacks from the bookshop.
the last time i felt this way was leaving temasek.
same emotion anyway.
maybe 222 can have annual gatherings!
on the 22nd of february!
22/2 every year!
muahahahaha.
geeeez.
this year has been so different.
